Last milking in the old parlor

These pictures are from the morning of Dec 2, 2014 – the last milking in the 55 year old parlor.  The parlor was placed in service 54 years and 11 months ago.  It was built by/for my Grandpa Harley Baer and my Great Grandpa Frank Baer.  They started it on New Years Eve 1959.  In the mid 1980s, the high-line swing setup was replaced with a low line and 8 units.  A few years later the milk meters (Westfalia Metatron 12s) were added, and it has been used that way until today.  The last day in the parlor, we milked 108 cows.  (In weeks prior, we were as high as 116 cows.)  It took 3.5-4 hours twice a day to milk that many cows.
